To achieve any goal all you need is being focused on it till you achieve it. But many fail in being focused. Here are the most valid reasons behind not being focused and how to overcome them:

Having no strong reason on why you actually started at first place:
Why do most of the people start their journey towards their goal and abruptly halt at some point and never resume? Is there actually a reason behind why you stopped the journey? No. Actually you don’t have a strong reason why you started it. It is a fact that reasons behind your decisions are the reason behind your success or failure, so always have a strong reason on why you want to achieve your greatest goals in your life. The reasons can be really silly to others but it should be strong enough for you to stay focused till you achieve your goal.
 
Fear of failure: 
When we talk about failure and success, No one in this world can claim that he is successful or be sad that he is failure. I would say I was successful or I was failure even if I succeeded or failed at this second as I was successful or failure a second before. Life is all about experiences not results. You are a batsman and can face the balls of opportunities all your life; you are a failure only when you left the ground. This means that you are a failure when you stopped your journey towards your goal in the fear of failure. So never concentrate on outcome, enjoy the process because it is the only thing that you can have control on.


Starting with big tasks:
Whenever we get motivated or inspired to do something we start with tasks that are out of our capacity and finally leave the thought of doing it after few days. For an instance, a guy hates his body and he is motivated to go to gym and work on his body after watching a movie in which hero has a muscular body. He goes to gym and workout for an hour and due to the excitement he works for another 30 minutes. This continues for another day and then he suffers from body pains and he takes rest for a week and never shows up in gym again. Here the guy’s capacity might be around 30 minutes. but due to the excitement and immense motivation he works for 1 extra hour than his capacity and finally leaves the idea of going to gym as the pain he suffered for a week faded the motivation. The same happens with anyone in life. So all that you have to do is to control the greed or excitement and start with smallest of the smallest of your capacity and then increase the course slowly. By doing this you will always have that excitement of going to gym or to study or to work till you achieve your goal or even after achieving your goal.


There will be many reasons for losing focus; all you need is that one reason why you want to be focused and a right way to achieve it.
